Welcome to St. Luke's Primary School.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you on behalf of the Governors, Staff and Pupils of our school. We believe that our success at St Luke's  comes from our commitment to teaching Gospel values in every aspect of our school life.

At St Luke's we believe that each child is as important as the next. Every child really does matter. High expectations, high standards and values and high self esteem are encouraged and fostered. Progress and achievement are positively monitored and celebrated. We believe that all children can achieve and that no child should be left behind.

St Luke's has many outstanding qualities. We have excellent facilities and enjoy great support from the local community. Our curriculum, whilst complying with the National Curriculum, is skills based , focusing on teaching children to be outstanding learners, providing exciting and challenging learning opportunities steeped in real life experiences. We seek to provide every opportunity for children to apply Literacy, Numeracy and Information Technology skills across their learning

Our aim is that all children achieve the highest possible standards and make maximum progress in relation to their prior learning. We want children to enjoy acquiring and using knowledge and skills, to question and explore, to develop positive attitudes, behaviour and personal beliefs and in the process gain independence - in other words, to become life long learners.

In partnership with parents we strive to ensure continued academic success and develop personal qualities in our pupils of which we can be proud. Put simply, we want to provide the highest standards of education for your child.

Our school motto, "Together, in faith, we shall succeed" sums up our ambition for St Luke's.
